With a solid foundation as a former flight and emergency department nurse, I bring over 15 years of invaluable experience to my practice. Graduating from Regis University in Denver, I'm dedicated to providing the highest quality care to my clients.

I am a Dual-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatry and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of extensive nursing experience. My philosophy is “people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care” (Theodore Roosevelt). I'm passionate about delivering compassionate care to patients dealing with major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorders. I understand that different experiences through a patient's life journey can contribute to mental health issues. As such, I obtain detailed psychiatric history and work with patients to create a customized treatment plan.

We are accepting new patients. I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice with certification in FNP and Family Psychiatry. I have been practicing for over 8 years as a Certified NP and over 30 years as a BSN RN. Recognizing that health is wealth, it is imperative that your mentally ill health is taken seriously because the disease of the mind is the disease of the body. I take an integrative approach to treatment which may include medication, psychotherapy, and lifestyle modification to address patients’ mental health needs. I specialize in integrative psychiatry for individuals ages 16+ combining evidence-based medication management with holistic and non-traditional "whole-body" approaches for full-spectrum treatment of mental illnesses and substance abuse. Dr. Cox has over 40 years experience in healthcare and is dual board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Education includes a Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specialization, from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. I offer a range of mental health services; medication, eclectic psychotherapy including sessions with equine interactions, and telepsychiatry sessions. NP Certified in addiction treatment & Equine Assisted Mental Health, licensed as a professional counselor. Appointments available! Henry is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who obtained his undergraduate and advanced nursing degree from Regis University in Denver, CO. He has over ten years of healthcare experience serving pediatric, adult and geriatric populations. Henry’s background includes an engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines, ecclesiastical work in service to the poor and underserved, and nursing services that include pediatric homecare, hospital inpatient and hospice care.

I typically work with clients navigating complex emotions or struggling with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, or mood disorders. Individuals from diverse backgrounds and varied ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Their needs often include a desire for understanding, compassion, evidence-based treatments, and strategies for healing and growth. Their goals might encompass achieving stability, resilience, personal growth, and holistic well-being. They seek quality care and therapeutic relationships that resonate with their unique circumstances.

I am board certified in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and I am committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, evidence-based, and collaborative care to children, adolescents, and adults.
