Dr. Baum has a general adolescent and adult psychotherapy and medication management practice. I treat the “whole” patient, and have visits of sufficient length to know my patients thoroughly. I also focus attention on any ongoing medical problems. I encourage and incorporate exercise into treatment. I aspire to create an atmosphere that feels natural; if a patient prefers, we might have a walking session. When not practicing remotely, I have a therapy dog in my office. We can schedule a consultation to ascertain what your needs are, to establish a treatment plan, and to see whether I am a good fit for your ongoing treatment.
I have subspecialty expertise in Sports psychiatry and performance enhancement, Eating disorders, and Ob-gyn related Psychiatry, as well as medically oriented psychiatry. I have decades of experience treating anxiety and mood disorders, and I enjoy —and have done a lot of work with —college age students.
I treat individuals —and couples and families—at all ages and stages of life: athletes, students, Professionals including physicians and attorneys, those pondering retirement or already at that stage.
