I treat a wide range of adult patients. Most people are seeking help with anxiety and mood symptoms. These symptoms are often related to life transitions, patterns of interpersonal conflicts, unhealthy behaviors, and coping skills that have outlived their usefulness. The first visit is a consultation to clarify what the core struggles are.
I am able to provide medications and psychotherapy, depending on what is needed. I graduated Yale Medical School, completed four years of psychiatry training at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training program, and am board-certified in psychiatry. I also spent several years completing advanced training in insight-oriented psychodynamic therapy.
My approach is comprehensive, taking into account the entire multidimensional person and the context of their lives. I emphasize lifestyle interventions when appropriate.
