I look beyond symptoms, and the usual 20 medications, to assess for underlying causes of difficulty. Neurobiologically, this may include lab work to assess nutritional status, genetic testing, lifestyle factors, and often missed underlying medical conditions.
I consider myself a nurse first, and so the emphasis is on caring about my patients and listening carefully. We will identify your goals, whether it's to decrease medications or consider other approaches (pharmacological or otherwise). We then formulate a treatment plan together and get to work.
My office is a warm, judgment free zone no matter what. This is my passion, and I keep up-to-date with the latest research. Specialty interests include depression, mood swings, anxiety, impulsivity, and concentration. I enjoy seeing adults and children alike.
