After obtaining certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, I pursued a additional graduate degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing. I have extensive experience in diagnosis and treatment of youth with psychiatric disorders. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient youth psychiatric settings. My clinical interests are varied but I have a strong interest in the treatment of ADHD. I believe that embracing the condition of ADHD can take a child to new heights.
As an APRN, I possess prescriptive privileges in Nevada. Medications and therapy can often be helpful in treating psychiatric diagnoses. Treatment modalities vary from person to person. I believe that youth, like all, deserve to have their best life. My pediatric practice is guided by theories of self-care and optimism.
By unwrapping the "gift" of ADHD, one can shift the condition's challenge to a hopeful view of a youth's potential. Reach out to me to help encourage that potential. I operate my practice completely on my own, intentionally keeping it small so I am able to provide a "concierge" level of care for my patients and families in the Reno area.
