About
Whether you are just starting to explore if psychiatric medications might be helpful for you, you have a regimen that you feel could benefit from a fresh perspective, or you are happy with your current regimen and just need a new provider, choosing a new practitioner for your mental health team can be daunting. I work with people who are dealing with the full spectrum of psychiatric symptoms and stressors. I will conduct a thorough psychiatric assessment and make evidence-based recommendations for medications and interventions that can help restore your sense of equilibrium and self-efficacy and support you in meeting your goals.
PMHNPs bring the holistic perspective of the nursing profession into the therapeutic relationship. We look at the whole person in front of us and consider the unique circumstances that have made you who you are today, not just the cluster of symptoms that need to be relieved. I prescribe conservatively, and in accordance with evidence based guidelines.
The most comprehensive treatment plan in the world is useless if it doesn't reflect each client's individual preferences and goals. Listening carefully is at the core of who I am and what I do. It is my role to present options and discuss treatment rationales, then together, we will create a path forward that feels right for you.
