The Timothy Center is a collaborative group of therapists and medication providers founded in 2001 by Dr. Jimmy Myers, offering individual, couples, family, and group therapy as well as medication management. He obtained a master’s degree and a doctorate in nursing practice from the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Dr. Kokou-Abi uses a compassionate approach to his psychiatric practice and has an extensive experience with patients with mood, thought disorders, and anxiety. His other interests include substance abuse treatment, stigma reduction regarding psychiatric care, and improving access to mental health care for the underserved.
