I am a mental health nurse practitioner who focuses on medication management and is trained in various forms of psychotherapy. I graduated from the University of Tennessee with my BSN and finished my graduate studies at Southern Adventist University, specializing in mental health. I have over 33 years of experience, starting in medical/surgical nursing, and I changed my focus to behavioral health. Through this journey, I have specialized in trauma, focusing on PTSD, personality disorders, focus issues, and multiple addictive traits, with the desire to provide empathy in recovery.
My approach to care is patient-centered, involving holistic and integrated care. This approach focuses on treating patients with respect and dignity. The client and I are a team working toward the same goal of a healthy body and mind using positive coping skills to replace unhealthy or self-harming techniques.
My communication style is open and honest, and I provide respect in a non-judgmental, safe environment for the patient.
