I am a board certified psychiatrist (MD) specializing in psychotherapy. I treat adults with psychotherapy and additional medication management services, only if needed. (I am not accepting any medication-only patients.) I provide short and long-term psychotherapy, the frequency and length of which will depend on your needs and goals, including ISTDP (intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy). I treat depression, anxiety, panic, bipolar disorder, PTSD and other trauma related difficulties, relationship issues, career issues, family issues, grief and life transitions, and low self-esteem.
Through therapy I can help guide you through an exploration of your feelings and related thoughts to ultimately find your way to live more fully, to move beyond those things that may keep you from moving toward your goals, or that compel you to relive or repeat patterns.
At times you may experience symptoms that may deserve treatment with medication which should allow you to feel more like yourself and make it possible to engage more in life and in therapy.
