I have an extensive background in women's health, but I later transitioned into psychiatry, working with patients with mental illness and substance abuse issues.
I feel compelled to help people with mental health issues due to the scarcity of service and the stigma that exists in this branch of medicine. While it is essential to be able to function efficiently and overcome everyday challenges, unfortunately for some, it is just not possible because of mental deficits brought about by varying circumstances.
