I am a double-board certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of all psychiatric and mental health concerns through psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. I work together with individuals to treat mood issues, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, psychosis, autism, and/or behavioral issues. I like to collaborate care with families, therapists, or other providers. I will work to explore various treatment options and modalities best suited to one's needs.
I practice evidence based medicine, using my knowledge and background in the latest psychiatric research regarding treatment modalities and medications. I trained locally at UT Austin Dell Medical School and Dell Children's Medical Center. I am well connected to the Austin Mental Health Community for networking and referrals.
I do not practice assembly-line psychiatry. Each patient receives care tailored to their history, goals, and values. Psychiatry works best when there is time to listen. Medication decisions are made collaboratively, not automatically. No rushed visits, no fragmented communication. Everything begins with a conversation.
