Hello! My name is Andrea and I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, as well as board certified adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner. I have over 30 years of experience working in the healthcare. My primary focus areas include working with adolescents and adults. My approach to mental healthcare is always patient centered. I work wth my clients to establish goals for their care and create treatment plans that align with those goals. I understand that medication is not always indicated or desired, in which case I focus on non-pharmacological methods to treat symptoms.
I am experienced in treating most mental health disorders, however I am most comfortable treating patients with depression, anxiety, insomnia, ADHD, bipolar, and psychotic disorders in adolescents and adults.
I have been working in a variety of healthcare settings over the past 30 years and regardless of the setting or specialty, mental health has always played a large role. I feel that mental health is as important as physical health and a holistic approach to wellbeing is a necessity in improving overall health and quality of life.
