I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.
I treat an array of psychiatric disorders, however my true passion is treating clients with Substance Use Disorders. I am a strong believer in Medication Assisted Treatment and am certified to treat Opioid Use Disorder with Buprenorphine. I also have vast experience in treating women’s issues and mood disorders.
My background includes receiving a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College in Latin American Studies. I went on to receive an M.A in Educational Psychology from New York University. I received my medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, which taught me to integrate mind, body, and spirit when designing a treatment plan.
