Welcome! My name is Mikel. I have been a practicing Nurse Practitioner for 15 years, and I have been working exclusively in Mental Health since 2021. I offer comprehensive treatment with medications and brief therapies for such struggles as ADHD, depression and anxiety, including panic, social anxiety, and PTSD. I also assist patients in managing other concerns such as grief, sleep issues, low energy/motivation, poor focus/concentration and stress.
I use multiple approaches, including medications, education, and brief therapy to treat each patient according to his or her needs. I seek to have a partnership with my patients because I want the patient to have an active role in his or her treatment and care. I will support and encourage my patients, but I will also challenge and empower them.
I treat adults, typically between the ages of 18-65, for a wide variety of mental health struggles. I am most comfortable treating individuals with ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma-related disorders, including PTSD. Additionally, I have experience working with patients who have bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder.
