I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a passion for helping individuals and families enhance their communication and emotional understanding. Born in India and raised throughout America, my multicultural upbringing has deeply influenced my empathetic approach to psychiatry. As a child, I was often described as a "thinker," a trait that led me to express my feelings through work. It was during my young adulthood that I realized the importance of not only thinking, but also speaking openly about emotions, a journey that continues to shape my professional and personal life.

I earned my medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine and continued my training at The University of Texas at Austin. I completed my residency at the UT Health Science Center in Tyler and pursued a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at UT Dell in Austin.

I believe that improving communication is key to enhancing wellbeing in relationships. Throughout my life, I observed how misunderstandings between people often stemmed not from bad intentions but from a lack of tools and insights to understand and communicate their feelings.
