Hello! I’m Amy. I’ve been in Colorado since May 2023 after a move from Indiana. I have almost 20 year’s experience in healthcare. As a Registered Nurse, I worked in multiple critical care areas including adult and pediatric trauma intensive care. I also worked in an inpatient facility for children ages 5-13 with behavioral and mental health issues. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I previously worked at a private practice where I saw children, adolescents, and adults for concerns including mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and more.
Many factors influenced my decision to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Through my healthcare career as well as my personal life I have seen patients, friends, and loved ones struggling with their mental health yet not getting the help they need. Far too often this was due to a lack of access or fear of stigma.
