My career began with a focus on research in mood and anxiety disorders, pivoted to a fellowship in forensic psychiatry, and then transitioned again to multiple roles at Silver Hill Hospital, where I still am on staff. I have treated patients across the spectrum, including adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. I have had 17+ years of experience working in a variety of settings including emergency, inpatient, residential and outpatient programs. My hope is to work with patients open to a collaborative relationship among myself, their families and other providers.
My goal is to be more than just a prescriber. I strive to be a fierce advocate for my patients. Mental illness and addiction are not character flaws or moral failings or weaknesses. People seeking help deserve kindness and an absence of judgment from their doctors.
