Thank you for viewing my profile today! I have worked as a psychiatrist for approximately 15 years and essentially in every setting. I do my best to personalize our appointment so that you find it to be a positive experience. I look forward to collaborating with you on how I might be of help! I greatly value attuning to what people tell me in the first session, and I take a brief history so that I can get to know each person's life a bit more. At the same time, there is an adequate opportunity for people to share what they feel is most important. I like to connect with each person and understand what you prioritize most.
Every person has a valuable story to share (if they are open to sharing), and I am very interested in learning about each person's journey that has gotten them to this point. And if at the first appointment, it appears that your needs would be best served by another provider, I will not hesitate to tell you so for optimal and appropriate care.
First and foremost, an appointment is an experience. So, my strengths are those aspects described as helpful by the person who sees me in an appointment, and may be different for each person based on their experience. I try to meet people where they are so that they take away from sessions the feeling of personalized and attentive care.
