As a licensed provider, working with people of all ages and walks of life has taught me the importance of nonjudgmental treatment. Because every person is unique, their story is unique, as well. Working to understand a client's story with their strengths and goals is pivotal for creating a treatment plan that is truly effective. As a 26 year Registered Nurse with an undergraduate degree in social work, I have a great deal of experience providing compassionate care. As a mom of 3, I also understand the challenges of being a working parent and seek to support clients and families I serve with a wholistic and nurturing approach.
When I work with clients, I use a relaxed style with kindness and humor. I also find that a warm and affirming approach is helpful, especially when working with kids. I use a combination of medication management and psychotherapy to achieve the greatest outcome for each and every client I see.
In the first session, I strive to help new clients feel safe and comfortable. I spend time listening to a client's history and understanding their goals.
