I am a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health care. I began my path in mental health by earning my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Arizona in 2012. I then took the leap into the medical field as a registered nurse after earning my A.D.N in 2018 followed by my B.S.N from the University of New Mexico in 2019.
As an RN I worked in Emergency Medicine, Medical-Surgical and Inpatient Psychiatry. In 2022 I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from New Mexico State University.
Most of my nursing career has been spent at the VA Medical Center taking care of Veterans and Active Duty Military. This is where I gained my passion for helping those suffering from trauma-related issues. In order to better serve those suffering from trauma, I am currently completing a certification to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist.
