Hello! I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, evidenced-based natural alternatives and supplements, genetic and laboratory testing, and home delivery of medication. I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing and a Post-master’s specialty as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Washburn University. I was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and while attending my undergraduate nursing program at UNC Wilmington, I learned I wanted to dedicate my career to mental healthcare.
Since then, I have enjoyed 25 years of psychiatric nursing experience providing compassionate care. Above all, I value the therapeutic relationship. My friendly, down-to-earth demeanor will put you at ease and allow us to progress more efficiently in reaching your goals.
We will both value our alliance while leveraging my extensive experience in the field. My background includes working in the inpatient psychiatric setting, where I participated in and led research to improve outcomes published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. I consult nationally and am a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
