Hi there! I am a psychiatrist that treats the whole person. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. When mental health struggles show up, they affect the whole body, and how the body functions affects how we feel. I use medications similar to taking antibiotics for a dirty wound—to calm symptoms first—then we use practical tools, insight, and support to help close that wound and create lasting healing. My goal is steady relief, deeper understanding, and sustainable improvement. I aim to meet you where you are now, move at your pace, and help you feel heard, informed, and hopeful again!
I am a wife, mom, former ICU and med/surg nurse, and now a psychiatrist. I worked as a bartender while my kids were little and I was in nursing school. I am originally from California, and my family loves West Virginia—we plan to stay here for good. Those life experiences help me relate to people beyond diagnoses and see the person, not just symptoms.
I am inquisitive and probing, always looking for the root problem so we can heal from the inside out, not just medicate symptoms. Our first session is an in depth look at your mental and physical health, current medications, supplements, and history. From there, I develop my own assessment and a thoughtful plan we can move forward with together at your pace.
