I am a board-certified psychiatrist, providing evidence based psychiatric care to adults with a variety of illnesses, from mood disorders like depression or bipolar disorder, to anxiety, psychosis, ADHD, and more. While the mainstay of psychiatric treatment is often medication-based, I believe also exploring one’s lifestyle factors (sleep, nutrition, exercise, etc.) is very important to support mental health and lasting change. My approach is collaborative and educational, where we will spend time together discussing your symptoms, why we may select certain treatments/medicines, and also work together to create individualized goals.
Initial evaluations are usually split between two visits to allow ample time to explore your symptoms and history initially, and to delve further into diagnosis and treatment a week later. At future follow ups we will discuss what is working, what is not, and set new goals along the way. Follow up frequency is highly individualized, based on your needs.
