Alice X Huang
Psychiatrist, MD, MS
I am a board-certified psychiatrist in private practice in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Rice University, I completed my medical degree and psychiatry residency at the University of California, San Francisco. I have served as an Assistant Professor for the UCSF Department of Psychiatry, and currently I am a Clinical Associate Professor at OHSU and on faculty at the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center. I completed advanced psychotherapy training at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, and I am currently a candidate training in psychoanalysis at the Oregon Psychoanalytic Institute.
I typically like to work with clients in an in-depth way, meeting once weekly or more frequently for psychotherapy. I offer medication management only to those in psychotherapy treatment with me. Please contact me to set up a 10-15 minute phone conversation to discuss what you are seeking.
I offer an integrative approach to understanding a person's emotional experience, history, and biology and work collaboratively with clients toward change. I have a special interest in treating healthcare professionals, women with emotional struggles related to pregnancy and post-partum, and challenges with parenthood. All patients are welcome.
