About
I am a board-certified psychiatrist who works with adults, and over the years I have focused on building a practice based on addressing the social, psychological and biological needs of my patients. With experience and extensive training in psychotherapy, medication management, and community psychiatry I have an integrated perspective giving equal attention to the different influences in a person's life that can lead to psychiatric symptoms. As the director of LGBTQ mental health clinic at Maimonides, I am equipped to address the unique mental health needs of the LGBTQ community.
I completed my residency at Maimonides Medical Center where I was chief resident. I am trained at NYU's Psychoanalytical Association of of New York in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and currently am a public psychiatry fellow at Columbia University. I also am a researcher with multiple publications primarily on the topic LGBTQ mental health.
With empathy, curiosity, and cultural sensitivity I help my patient's prioritize their mental health and to live more fulfilling lives.
