I am a UCLA-trained psychiatrist and psychotherapist who works with adults ages 18-64. I treat patients with a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, psychosis, substance use disorders, and more. While medications can be a powerful tool, I strongly encourage my patients to be in therapy (whether with me or another therapist), and believe this to be an important part of an effective treatment plan.
In therapy, we will work in the “here and now” to help you experience the full range of emotions, including difficult feelings that may be holding you back. I take an active stance in helping you recognize the ways in which you show up in the world - and in therapy - to empower you with the choice to live differently.
My treatment philosophy is informed by my psychiatry training at UCLA, the most recent evidence-based research, and my additional psychotherapy training. I see patients virtually in both Illinois and California.
