People struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and others. You need someone who will listen, ask questions, and listen again. Trust in the relationship between yourself and your PMHNP is imperative. Without it, you have nothing. Trust leads to medication adherence, attending follow-up appointments, improved communication, rapport, and understanding. People want to be able to smile and mean it, enjoy their hobbies, find purpose, achieve their goals, and live their life in a way that is genuine to them. These are my goals when we work together.
I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management plans tailored to you, and brief supportive therapy. I work with you as a team to develop a treatment plan specifically for you. This can also include nutritional psychiatry, exercise, and sleep hygiene. I also encourage complementary medicine like Acupuncture, Hypnosis, Meditation, and Yoga.
After each visit, you should be comfortable with the treatment plan. I want you to have a greater understanding of your mental health disorder, medications, and treatment plan. I truly believe knowledge is power and will explain in detail your disorder(s), medication(s), and alternative therapies and how they all play a role. My goal is trust.
