I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I was born and raised in upstate New York. I received by RN from Southern Vermont College. I then earned by BSN from SUNY Plattsburgh while working full time as a nurse manager of one of the wings of the Vermont Veterans Home. I found my love of mental health diagnosis and treatment while working with veterans and their families. This inspired me to then earn my training as a PMHNP from SUNY Stony Brook. I have experience in working with people of all ages and backgrounds, including substance use disorders.
I treat patients of all ages children to geriatric. I am about providing a patient-centered, science-based, integrative approach to care. I provide personalized treatment plans considering the patient history, lifestyle factors, and genetic variables to treat illness as well as promote overall health and wellness.
When I’m not working, I’m enjoying time with my blended family taking care of the our animal sanctuary, which consists of 4 dogs, 3 cats, 4 alpacas, 1 horse, 1 cow, and 2 pigs. My husband and I also enjoy mountain biking and surfing, as well just about anything we can do as long as we are together.
