I am a Georgetown University trained psychiatrist with an extensive postgraduate training and experience. I practice evidence-based psychopharmacology, psychodynamic psychotherapy and integrative medicine. I specialize in intense short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP) that can lead to rapid and permanent recovery from a wide range of problems including anxiety, depression, loneliness, self-esteem and relationship problems, anger management issues, self-destructive behaviors and psychosomatic conditions. This model of therapy is very efficient and often works, even when previous therapies failed, or were only partially successful.
Only a few hundred people around the world are skilled in ISTDP. I am respectful, responsive and compassionate toward my patients, and I treat them as equal partners in their treatment decision process. I find clinical work extremely rewarding, hence I turned down the faculty positions at the Georgetown University and the Washington School of Psychiatry.
I am passionate about my work, continued growth and education. I did residency in Psychiatry, fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine and core training in ISTDP. My prior work experience includes treating severely mentally ill at the Arlington County and students at the Georgetown University.
