I have been blessed to practice psychiatry for the past 11 years. It is an honor to walk the journey of life with my patients, helping them work towards their goals free of burden. I am a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist in private practice in Houston’s Galleria area. The purpose of my practice is to provide a thorough and individualized assessment of each of my patient’s unique needs, being mindful of all the different aspects of their lives and what matters to them and defines them. Each particular individual suffers from more than just a list of signs and symptoms, more than a condition. I want to work with you to help you understand yourself from a multidimensional and developmental perspective and provide the needed therapeutic methods to sustain a healthier and satisfying life.

I know your time is valuable. Initial consultative evaluation appointments are available for scheduling WITHIN 1-2 WEEKS, unless I am not accepting new patients at that time. I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist with Fellowships in Psychoanalysis and Mindfulness based treatments. I provide individualized treatment for those dealing with concerns about mood, anxiety, or struggles in one or more areas of life. While I offer short sessions of psychiatric care, my area of expertise is long sessions integrating treatments such as psychoanalysis talk therapy, exercise, mindfulness, and medications when indicated.

ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS - We help patients establish a professional relationship with a dedicated physician who knows their medical history and medication regimen. This provides the patient with continuity of care and on-demand access to a doctor through telemedicine or in-person appointments. We manage a wide spectrum of illnesses, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, OCD, ADHD and insomnia. Patients with these conditions have the best chance of improvement when they have regular appointments with the same physician who works with the patient in a professional setting.

Chelsia Burkes-Brown is a Board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who sees clients in Oregon, Maryland, Washington, Maryland and Florida. She has over eleven years of nursing experience in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric care across the lifespan. She is committed to providing both competent and compassionate care to her clients. She places high value on a client’s full participation in the development of each treatment plan to encourage compliance and believes everyone deserves to have access to high-quality mental health care. She specializes in children, teenagers, and young adults.

ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS. Dr. Emily Wu is a Harvard-trained M.D. Psychiatrist. She is Double Board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry. She is licensed to practice in Texas. She completed a two-year advanced fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital through Harvard Medical School. She did her residency in Adult Psychiatry at Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program. She obtained her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude.
