Dr. Pottash is a psychopharmacologist/psychiatrist in Palm Beach, just across the bridge from downtown West Palm Beach. The author/co-author of over 120 research publications, he is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at New York University and a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Trained at Yale for medical school and residency, he treats all psychiatric conditions, but his special interests are in depression, mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, ADD/ADHD, and dual diagnosis substance abuse. Treatment begins with an evaluation of at least 60 minutes, taking a fresh look at diagnosis and treatment and considering tests to rule out medical causes.

My ideal client is open-minded and motivated and would like to explore medication as part of their treatment plan. They may struggle with various mental health issues such as anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, depression, or other mood disorders. Their goal is to find relief from their symptoms and improve their overall quality of life.

Dr. Thorkelson is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at The University of Pittsburgh. He completed his adult residency training at Temple University and his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at The University of Pittsburgh where he continued on in three roles: as Associate Medical Director at the Center for Integrative Medicine, as staff psychiatrist at the John Merck Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders, and through the Visceral Inflammation and Pain (VIP) Center in the Department of Gastroenterology. Dr. Thorkelson specializes in the treatment of anxiety, autism, ADHD, and depression.

Doctor Ruiz is a board-certified psychiatrist physician who specializes in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma and stressor related disorders, ADHD, and pregnancy related psychiatric conditions. Dr. Ruiz received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry, graduating from the Honors College with Magna Cum Laude. She later completed four-years of medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and an additional four-years of psychiatric residency training.

I offer psychiatric evaluations and medication management for anyone over 16 years of age suffering with symptoms that cause impairment in any aspect of life (e.g., professional, personal, social, self-care). I help my patients manage discomfort due to depression, anxiety, symptoms of bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, attention deficit, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, among others. She specializes in the treatment of mood, anxiety, ADHD and other mental health conditions, and retains privileges with Park Royal Hospital. Additionally, Ms. Deuschle has significant experience in treating patients with co-occurring disorders. In her private practice she sees adults, teens and families for medication management and psychotherapy.
