I am Dr. Gupta, Medical Director of Great Neck Center for Sleep, TMS & Mind-Body Wellness. I am board certified in Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, Sleep Medicine & Psychosomatic Medicine. My practice offers cutting edge treatments for major depressive disorder including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and esketamine. TMS is an FDA approved, non-invasive treatment that is free of side effects. Most insurances will cover the cost of TMS, and treatments are administered in our comfortable office setting.
TMS complements my Neuropsychiatry practice. These consultations include expertise in psychological testing and in the use of medications to treat psychiatric disorders. I use genetic testing and brain EEG to prescribe medications with the best outcomes for my patients. I also run a sleep lab to help diagnose and treat patients with sleep disorders.
Dr. Gupta has been recognized among "Top Doctors" by Castle Connolly for several years. Please visit our website at www.dragupta.com for more information about our practice and the services we offer.

More about this group

Tms (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique that has been proven effective for treatment-resistant depression and other neuropsychiatric disorders. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a clinically proven treatment for patients with depression or other psychiatric disorders. At our center, we use the Apollo TMS Therapy System, a unique, high quality design which has an inviting, modern look. TMS is safe and well-tolerated - does not circulate in the blood stream, causing side effects like typical antidepressant medications. Some patients report experiencing slight irritation at the scalp, mild headache or some tingling in areas of the face, jaw or scalp.

Esketamine Treatment

SPRAVATO (Esketamine Nasal Spray) is a medication administered intranasally in a medical office and requires medical supervision during treatment sessions. Along with your oral antidepressant, SPRAVATO targets NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) neuroreceptors and works differently than currently available oral antidepressants to treat Treatment-Resistant Depression. Patients receiving SPRAVATO over four-week and sixteen-week experimental periods saw a significant reduction in depression symptoms compared to those who discontinued therapy or received a placebo. SPRAVATO is not approved for anesthetic use and may not be safe for patients under 18.
