The pandemic showed me just how detrimental isolation can be to a person and how symptoms of chronic mental health conditions (ie anxiety, depression, PTSD) can easily be exacerbated. Despite already having a background in behavioral health, I decided to pursue a 2-year Post Master's Certification in Psychiatry and focus on mental health.
I want to help bridge the gap between accessibility and quality care. I am now dual-certified with ANCC and AANP as a Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner. This affords you and I the luxury of considering the bigger picture and not just a mental health diagnosis.
