As a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, I provide high quality, affordable mental health care for children and adults. My approach to care is collaborative, which means that you will ALWAYS have an active voice in the treatment. Not all mental health concerns require medication, of course, but if we do decide that medication may be helpful, my philosophy is always to "start low and go slow." My goal is to help clients achieve full remission of symptoms and an optimal level of functioning with as little medication as possible.
One of the advantages of seeing a psychiatric nurse practitioner is that we can provide both individual and family therapy (as psychologists, social workers, and counselors do) as well as medication management services (as psychiatrists do), at a lower cost than visiting a psychiatrist.
