I am a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who trained at UCSF, Columbia, and Cornell. I have expertise in psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and working with transgender and gender diverse youth.
I am trained in multiple modalities/approaches, including gender-affirming therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
I take a patient-centered approach and engage in shared-decision making. I view patients holistically and consider lifestyle interventions in addition to psychotropic medications. I also consider the systems that individuals are embedded in and work with parents/caregivers, families, significant others, and schools when needed.
