I'm a board-certified adult and child psychiatrist specializing in the true integration of psychopharmacology with psychotherapy. I believe in active collaboration with patients to achieve treatment goals, while reducing the need for psychotropic medication when appropriate. I encourage patients, within an empathic and supportive environment, to gain a better understanding of themselves in order to facilitate positive change.
I entered private practice, with a focus on providing psychoanalytically oriented, cognitive-behavioral, and supportive psychotherapy in combination with medication management. I am experienced in the treatment of a variety of psychiatric conditions with children and adults, including depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, adjustment reactions and children behavioral disorders.
I have extensive experience treating professionals, including lawyers, executives, physicians, academics, musicians, artists, performers, and mental health professionals. I am well-informed about certain problems unique to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students facing academic difficulties or anxiety due to academic pressures.
