Veterans Acute Stress Syndrome Group (ASSYST)

This is a closed group for veterans that meets once a week via telehealth. The focus of the group is to address the crisis of the week using the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) informed model. The ASSYST procedure will be used to help the patients reach optimal levels of activation (within the window of tolerance) to facilitate their AIP system and facilitate the subsequent spontaneous processing of information. The ASSYST will be the focus to heal alleviate severe distress symptoms that can lead to deterioration in current functioning.
