When people migrate to a different culture from their own, they may experience significant stress and anxiety. Culture Shock is a term used to describe the stress and anxiety one feels in a new culture. As a result of the challenges and cultural shock they experience, a person may feel sad, lonely, angry, lost, and confused.

My clients are teens & adults seeking support in cultivating resilience, peace, joy & connection in a busy world.
Therapy is a space we can unpack and embrace the messiness of life, and learn to thrive in spite of obstacles: we will make space for laughter alongside tears, carve out time to celebrate wins while still grieving losses, and uncover glimmers of hope hiding in the shadows. Though expertise grounds my work, being a down-to-earth human is how I show up.

I work with adolescents and adults; individuals, and couples.
Throughout our lives we find ourselves in times of uncertainty or times when much is asked of us. How we respond to such moments will define how we think of ourselves in the time ahead. While there may be a natural inclination to turn away from the moment and think only, "This too shall pass", just how it will pass has a great deal to do with the thinking one does and the actions one takes. Therapy should provide a better understanding of who we are and why we act as we do. Therapy works best when it is to the point, clear, and practical.

Having a child no matter the age who has an addiction is difficult to talk about with friends. Sharing the intimate details of what you experience as a parent when your child is out of control brings up tremendous feelings of sadness, grief, and possibly even failure. Shame and blame are not helpful when it comes to substance use/abuse. Compassion and empathy can be difficult emotions to harness when the household is in chaos. This is an amazing group of parents pleas allow us to support you!

I see every individual that comes through my door as having innate healing and growth potential that just needs to be tapped into in conjunction with appropriate education, awareness, and treatment. Clinicians can't change the past for anyone, but we can help clients change their relationship with their past I believe change happens when clients harness their own motivation and make the decision to change for themselves. I see my role as your partner on that journey. It is both an honor and a privilege for me to do so. The human spirit is resilient only sometimes we don’t see it. I offer neurofeedback for in person sessions.

Research shows that men who are emotionally self-aware are clear in their understanding of what they do well, what drives and satisfies them, and which people and situations can be triggering. Emotional health affects how men manage behavior and navigate social complexities, both in their personal and professional lives. Most men desire to be emotionally healthy but lack the skills and motivation to get there. We are here to help. With a combination of psycho-education, in-session modeling, and interpersonal processing, we will work to help you meet your goals and live an emotionally healthier life.

I've been extremely privileged to help those in my sphere of influence, both adolescents and adults, during times of trial and transition.
We are all coming out of a storm, in the middle of one right now, or looking at clouds beginning to form on the horizon. But the good news is that we don't have to go through any of that alone. There is help, and there is hope. The way things are today is not the way things will remain forever. Whether you are facing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction, spiritual questions, life transitions, military or post-military challenges - let's make sense of this part of your story, together.
