Social groups in high school are confusing and the pressures of academics and extracurricular activities make it even harder. Teens who struggle with anger, anxiety, depression, and/or have developed a poor set of coping skills find the dynamics even more challenging. We determine placement into our various groups after an initial evaluation. Some of our groups are specifically geared toward teens with high functioning autism and their specific needs. Each group is built on the core concepts of group therapy in which group members support, encourage, challenge and process their issues together.

Having a child no matter the age who has an addiction is difficult to talk about with friends. Sharing the intimate details of what you experience as a parent when your child is out of control brings up tremendous feelings of sadness, grief, and possibly even failure. Shame and blame are not helpful when it comes to substance use/abuse. Compassion and empathy can be difficult emotions to harness when the household is in chaos. This is an amazing group of parents pleas allow us to support you!

Growing up with a parent impacted by substance use can leave invisible wounds—ones that often resurface in adulthood as anxiety, perfectionism, relationship struggles, or an ongoing sense of not feeling safe or enough. This group offers a safe, supportive space to explore those experiences, learn new ways of relating, and connect with others who truly understand. This ongoing weekly group offers a safe, supportive space to process those experiences, connect with others who understand, and build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
