Trauma and PTSD Support Groups in Austin, TX

This led consultation group for clinicians and healing practitioners focuses on the existential factors (or “givens”) that are core to the human experience and crucial to address in the experience and healing of trauma: freedom, death, isolation/aloneness, choice, power, and meaninglessness. Trauma impacts these specific existential aspects of human experience as a core place of wounding and requires a specific focus to address them effectively in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of Complex PTSD and associated dissociative and developmental trauma disorders.

We use exercises to help regulate and manage challenging emotions. We focus on somatic and mindfulness based exercises, include shamanic work (drumming, journey work, dream work, connection to allies), and trauma resolution techniques. We also include awareness of what is happening in the body during anxiety. Embodied knowledge is power! You'll build community and create new ways. This group starts October 2025 and will be in-person in Austin, Texas. We will meet through December 2025. Intake appointments are required so call early to get the intake process started. Adoptees can benefit from being in a group with other adoptees. The group is supportive, educational, and makes room for each person to talk about the current issues in their life that relate to their experience with adoption. The focus is on self-understanding, self-compassion, and how adoption has impacted their lives. I value an inclusive and anti-racist space.
