The unity group: An lgbtqia+ healing space
Our LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy group is a sanctuary designed to foster post-traumatic growth, understanding, and empowerment for queer individuals ages 18 and above. Through group discussions, therapeutic exercises, and expressive arts practices, we aim to create a nurturing environment where you can heal, grow, and thrive. This group celebrates diversity and honors each person’s authentic self-expression. Our approach is intersectional and trauma-informed, recognizing the diverse backgrounds, identities, and unique lived experiences within the LGBTQIA+ community. Join us as we journey together toward greater self-acceptance, trauma recovery, and holistic well-being.

Post-Traumatic Growth Group
This is not a group where we will sit in a circle telling war-stories about trauma or loss. Here, we will cultivate the healing experiences necessary to grow from trauma. Sessions will be facilitated with an emphasis on safety, building strengths, and empowering participants to put change into action. Group sessions will include various embodied and experiential forms of therapy that allow us to move beyond words or narratives. Instead of an emphasis on retelling trauma stories - we will build the strengths necessary to change how trauma lives within us and alter the trajectories of our lives going forward.

Grief, Loss and Connection
There are no exact ‘rights or wrongs’ in dealing with loss, nor any specific timeframe where we expect to move beyond it. The death of someone significant in our lives affects each person uniquely and personally. It is through interacting with our emotions, as well as expressing them in a safe, supportive place that provides new beginnings and hope beyond our experienced loss. We want you to know that you are not alone! Throughout the length of our group, we will learn psychoeducation about grief and loss, build group connections and explore through experiential group therapy techniques.
