The Pain Group

The Pain Group was developed to help patients with chronic pain distinguish physical pain from psychological pain, learn to stop fearing pain, decrease emotional distress secondary to pain, improve level of functioning, develop the necessary coping skills to more effectively manage pain, and become self-sufficient and less dependent on opioid analgesics for pain relief. The group also allows patients with pain to eel less isolated and acquire universality - You Are Not Alone.
