Teen Self-Esteem/Social Skills Group
Teenagers' emotions can be intense and ever-changing. These feelings are confusing not only to the teens themselves, but also family members and friends. Sometimes a teen begins having trouble with peer and family relationships. When relationships falter, self-esteem is impacted. If someone you know is having a difficult time with relationships, they will find a welcoming place in this group. Depression and Anxiety Group for Teens
I will be utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence based treatment modality that is effective in the treatment of anxiety and depression. ACT combines mindfulness and acceptance which helps reduce symptoms and improves emotional flexibility. Small groups provide a safe yet dynamic environment for change. I am splitting teen category into two groups, 13-16 and 17-19 years old.
