Teen DBT Skills Group (Openings Available)

The Adolescent DBT Skills Group is a supportive, skills-based program for teens that typically includes 4–8 participants meeting weekly. Using a structured, evidence-based DBT curriculum, adolescents learn practical strategies to manage emotions, improve communication, and cope more effectively with stress and daily challenges. The group covers the core DBT modules of Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. In addition, the “Walking the Middle Path” module helps adolescents reduce rigid or black-and-white thinking, develop greater flexibility in perspectives, and build a more balanced approach to emotions, relationships, and problem-solving.

BFRBs Skills Group for Hair Pulling/Skin Picking
The BFRBs Skills Group is a supportive, evidence-based therapy group for individuals struggling with hair pulling and/or skin picking behaviors. Separate groups are offered for adolescents and young adults to provide age-appropriate support and peer connection. Using strategies grounded in Habit Reversal Training (HRT) and the Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) model, participants learn to better understand triggers, urges, and behavioral patterns associated with body-focused repetitive behaviors. Group members develop practical coping tools, increase awareness, and build healthier replacement strategies in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment while strengthening emotional regulation and long-term symptom management skills.
