Substance Use Support Group for Women
As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist as well as a counselor, I offer a non-clinical support group for women on Wednesdays 6pm - 7pm. No fee. Our discussions are based on the needs of the group members, psychoeducation, guest speakers, processing the recovery journey - successes and barriers. I believe women and men have different needs during the recovery process and in this group we focus on the needs of women. Mens support group is held on Thursdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Substance Use Support Group for Adolescents
Group counseling meets on Wednesdays. Middle school group meets 3:30pm - 4:30pm and the high school group meets 4:45pm - 5:45pm. The weekly group begins with a client check in, followed by substance use psychoeducation and emotion processing. Guest speakers and holistic supports are provided. No fee.

Our male Certified Peer Recovery Specialist co-facilitates this group with me. He focuses on the issues men in recovery face - past trauma, shame, blame, building life skills such as communication, decision making, problem solving. Discussions include coping, anger management, alternative activities, healthy relationships. Join us on Thursdays. No fee.
