Sport Concussion Education and Support Group

Being diagnosed with a head injury can be anxiety provoking. In this psychoeducational group, we will review sleep hygiene habits and how to keep your thinking balanced and positive. One session will be taught by a sport nutritionist and devoted to healthy eating and identifying foods nourishing to the brain. We will review breathing techniques and practice meditation. Members will have an opportunity to share with others who are going through as similar journey so they don't feel alone or isolated in their recovery. Collaboration of care with Dr. Hickmann and your primary provider is encouraged.
