Social Support during Social Distance Time
During this historical pandemic time, our evolutionarily hard-wired impulse for connection and human contact is suppressed. Social distance can create a deep sense of despair, anxiety, emptiness, and suicidality. Isolation can be a trigger for substance and other forms of Internet addictions. This group provides support and psychoeducation to maintain mental fitness, emotional health, and sober living. The group is currently meeting online. This group is for all people who are dealing with losses, job changes, relationship disintegration, and health crisis in the past year. The group provides psychoeducation for emotional fitness, social skills, self-compassion, and healthy relationship patterns. This group is currently offered online every Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00PM.
