Reality- Based Parenting Group
Reality-Based Parenting is an interactive workshop series developed and led by John P. McQueen. The Group meets every week on Thursdays for 12 sessions in Spring and Fall each year. This series is based on Book edited by John P. McQueen, LCSW, Ed.S. Reality Based Parenting: "How Parents of African Descent Can Cultivate Loving Relationships with their Children". A Certificate of Completion is presented to participants at graduation for successfully fulfilling RBP curriculum requirements.

" Before you say I do" : Relationships
It is part of our continue efforts to help as many young adults as possible to avoid unnecessary drama and decrease unwanted separation and/or divorce rates in the African American community. Beginning with the end in mind, therefore these sessions operationally define relationship and teach participants how to distinguish between relational and domination language, develop skills in self-awareness, mate-selection, communication, problem-solving, acceptance and truly understating the essence of love. This 12 session group is hosted in the Fall each year.
