About
As a seasoned psychoanalyst, my job is make therapy comfortable for you to discuss your concerns. I work with you to find out what you desire from life and to help you to achieve that. Issues may be specific or there may be a general sense of un-ease. Together, we explore and understand the obstacles that inhibit knowing and attaining what is desired, or obstacles that get in the way of connection with others. PRESENTLY, I am interested in talking with those who are interested in GROUP therapy; preferably those who have had some therapy experience, and/or are presently in therapy. I'm not accepting new individual referrals.
People come to therapy seeking increased satisfaction in relationship to themselves or with partners, family, friends and co-workers. Many difficulties stem from family histories. Therapy is about creating new histories, increasing emotional flexibilitity and allowing for greater freedom and pleasure.
Research is showing that therapy can change brain chemistry and structure, enabling a person to think and behave in new ways. Group therapy is one of my specialties. PLEASE NOTE, I am paid "out-of-network" with insurance providers and am willing to call and verify your benefits for you.
