Protective Parenting

This group is focused on helping parents sharpen their parenting skills with a focus on improving communication, identifying and correcting behaviors as well as identify in and out of home stressors. The group is very interactive and aimed at discussion, not classroom learning. The group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at 5pm and lasts about an hour. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or to get scheduled. This class may be covered by your insurance.

Batterer's Intervention Program (KY Approved)
The Batterer's Intervention Program (BIP) is focused on stopping violence and victimization in the home. Domestic violence creates a situation that destroys families. The BIP works to educate and teach coping skills to make healthier families. This is a 30 session group. BIP focuses on power and control dynamics with an emphasis on personal responsibility. Anger management and safety planning are incorporated to prepare for a healthier relationship. The effects of domestic violence on children and the generational transfer of violence are emphasized to regain the role of a nurturing parent.
